In three years, Beach-Net!, has signed up more than 200 web site design clients and advertisers. It will surpass Coastal's TV Times print publication in revenue and profitability in FY1999. The core beach-net.com site draws more than 200,000 visitors a month. Beach-Net!'s spin-off sites, such as its two beach cams, draw another 100,000 a month. Beach-Net!'s success has been built on the success it has brought its web site design and maintenance clients. Several are now making more money online than offline and most are making a profit in their online businesses. A recent launch has resulted in more than $20,000 in online transactions in the first two months for one client. Magill helped develop Beach-Net! by writing the business plan, developing revenue, editorial and marketing programs, building the first 1,000 pages of the site and more than 100 client sites, and selling web site design and maintenance services. Magill left Beach-Net! in January 1999 to concentrate on Cyber Weekly Consulting. He currently handles Beach-Net!'s search engine marketing efforts, backup site building duties for Coastal clients, and weekly fishing reports (I'm an avid fisherman).
